Serves four for breakfast
4 fresh oranges, peeled
2 cups ice
1/3 cup milk (or milk substitute)
(optionaL) 1 tablespoon of honey or brown sugar
(optional) 1 teaspoon vanilla
(optional) zest of one orange
Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add more ice if you would like. TIP: pop the peeled oranges in the freezer for 30 minutes prior to making the smoothie, so that they’re not thoroughly frozen, but definitely chilled and beginning to freeze. Then you can use slightly less ice.
