Do you love to garden but don’t have the space? Do you want to eat more fresh produce but worry about the cost?
Hunger Intervention program is teaming up Nathan Hale’s urban farm to create a program that will help aspiring gardeners hone their skills and get access to fresh vegetables at no cost to them. We are seeking five households who want to be part of our “Workshare Program.” They will commit to volunteering at the Farm on a regular basis in exchange for a box of produce every week.
The program focuses on serving individual and families with lower incomes and will run from June 15 to August 31, 2016. We will have community work parties every Wednesday evening. Workshare members are expected to come to most of these work days. New gardeners are encouraged to apply.
