Jerod & JenniferJennifer and Jerod Morris are the newest members of our Board of Directors. We are excited to have them join our team and bring in new experiences and perspectives. You can read a little more about them below.

Jennifer went to Oregon State University where she got her B.A. in Early Childhood Development and Minor in Spanish. She has her Masters in Teaching from the University. She currently works at McDonald International as a 3rd grade Spanish immersion teacher where she teaches science and math in the Spanish language. A big part of Jennifer wanting to become a HIP Board Member is to help underrepresented minority families similar to her own. When Jennifer is not teaching she is spending time with her family, friends, or running.

Having graduated from the University of Idaho with a major in Finance and Spanish, Jerod currently works for Northwest Farm Credit Services, providing financing for the commercial fishing industry. When not working, he enjoys the outdoors, especially snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing and paddling his kayak on Lake Union. He also enjoys reading, listening to music and working out. Jerod is very excited to join HIP and help to provide nutritious meals to those in need.

Together, Jennifer and Jerod have sorted food at Second Harvest, a food bank in Spokane, helped to prepared taxes for low income families through United Way at Centro De La Raza in Seattle, and have participated in the Susan G Komen race.
