Snapchat-1135897911818374883This year, HIP received funding through the Seattle Housing Authority to hire three youth interns from the three SHA sitewhere we serve summer meals. They are helping us  serve lunches, leading activities, and doing outreach.  Riko works for us at our Jackson Park Community Center site. Here is his introduction:

Hello my name is Riberiko Niyomungere but you may call me Riko. I am 14 years, born in Tanzania. I’m currently attending Nathan Hale high school, and am an intern for HIP. Before becoming an intern for HIP i worked for YES (Youth Engaged in Service). I love working individually and in groups to achieve a specific goal, and i love playing soccer and basketball in my free time  but I am not a huge fan of reading.
