Join Hunger Intervention Program (HIP) and hundreds of other advocates from all across Washington State in Olympia on Monday, January 23rd. Our legislators need to hear directly from you about the need to end hunger.

Register now at: bit.ly/HAD2017. No experience is necessary! Training and guidance will be provided. Everyone will also be part of a team and visit legislators as a group.

This year’s agenda includes a few that directly relates to ending childhood hunger in schools and improving school nutrition standards (expanding access to school breakfasts in high need schools, strengthening farm to school program, and equipping school kitchens to improve nutrition for kids). You can read more about our coalition’s complete list of legislative priorities here.

HIP is committed to providing nutritious foods to children and everyone in the community struggling to put food on their tables. However, we know that it’s not enough to just provide immediate relief from hunger. Unless we change the system that creates hunger in the first place, we will never be successful in our mission. We are grateful for the love and support we receive from our community, both in terms of volunteer time and funding. We hope we’ll see similar enthusiasm as well in advocating for more long-term changes in our policy.

Change happens only when we speak up and show up in numbers!

If you have any questions, please mail us at info@hungerintervention.org or call us at: (206) 538-6567.
