Carrie Bates

Please welcome our newest Board Member — Carrie Bates. We are excited to have her join our team!

Carrie is a Corporate Relations Officer at United Way of King County where she has worked since 2014 bringing people together to build a stronger community where people have homes, students graduate, and families are financially stable. Prior to joining United Way, Carrie worked for ten years with the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition, a non-profit responsible for protecting hundreds of thousands of acres of parks, wildlife areas, and working farms for Washington’s residents and visitors. Carrie and her family live in Lake City and together they enjoy gardening, visiting parks, hiking and skiing. Having benefitted from free and reduced price lunch as a child, Carrie is excited to join HIP to provide nutritious meals to neighbors in need.
