Your voice matters

Speaking on issues that matter to us most is a simple and powerful way to spark change.

Hunger is a systemic problem that intersects with complex issues such as the economy, the environment, and race and class. In addition to our direct meal programs and educational programs, HIP works to eliminate food insecurity by partnering with local, state, and national anti-hunger organizations to advocate for policies that will improve the access to and affordability of nutritious food for all.

Perhaps you want to help create lasting, systemic change but you don’t know where to begin? Legislators want to hear from their constituents – the people who voted them into office. Legislative advocacy involves sharing your stories and views on an issue and asking your legislator to vote a specific way.
