FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEATTLE, WA, July, 27, 2026—Between Saturday (7/25) afternoon and Sunday (7/26) morning, our office at the Lake City Presbyterian Church experienced a break in. The suspect broke many of the windows inside the office and of our vans and rummaged and overturned many work documents. They also stole multiple laptops, van keys, and one of our vans. The rest of the building appears untouched and unharmed, and there was no external damage to the building.

Some of our programs may be delayed and under-resourced today as our coordinators try to account for the missing and broken-in vehicles. Nevertheless, we plan to serve meals as usual.

We are still assessing the damage and will continue to provide updates. In the meantime, the Seattle Police Department has filed a report and is investigating the missing van. If you see a white van with HIP decals in a place it doesn’t belong, please contact us at info@hungerintervention.org or contact the Seattle Police Department.
