Much thanks for our guest contributor Leigh Wells. Leigh is a corps member in United Way’s One Million Meals Campaign, meaning she has dedicated her summer to feeding kids and teens through HIP’s summer meal program.
__________
HIP is a place where all youths not only get a sufficient amount of daily nutrition, but also a place to socialize, explore, and grow. HIP provides a safe, healthy, and fun environment for all kids and teens.
Hundreds of kids are flocking by the Summer Meals sites to get a taste of HIP’s delicious lunches and snacks. Not to mention– kids are also taking part in fun activities such as face painting, basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, water balloon toss, and many more!
Most importantly, HIP strives to power young minds through nutrition. Hunger Intervention Program provides food to all kids ages 18 and under in hopes to strengthen and expand their creative minds throughout the summer and into the school year.
