This is the time of the year when you receive repeated emails for year-end donations from many non-profits. This is the only post you’ll see from us. I hope you’ll take a few minutes now to make a gift to HIP and help put food on the tables of families struggling to do just that. If you make a donation before the end of the day tomorrow, December 31st, your donation will be tax-deductible in 2016.

Like most nonprofits, we run on donations from donors like you. You know that already. HIP wouldn’t exist if not for your gifts. I’m asking you to make a donation to HIP today so that we can continue to make sure that our neighbors don’t go hungry.

I know, like us, you care about making sure our neighbors have access to nutritious, affordable, and culturally appropriate food. When we let our neighbors go undernourished or malnourished, we deny them their right to live a healthy, productive life. When we let our children go hungry, we deny them the opportunity to reach their full potential. That is not just morally wrong, but also has a huge social and economical cost to our nation that affects us all. We are all in this together.
