Did you know that Hunger Intervention Program (HIP) as an organization was born in 2008? That means this year we get to celebrate ten years of serving and building community! So much has changed since the time we started. Many new programs have taken shape and grown over the years. We have served hundreds of thousands of nutritious meals. Many volunteers and staff have changed. But one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to making sure people in our neighborhood don’t go hungry. What has not changed is our value that everyone deserves affordable, consistent, and healthy meals.

Our journey would not have been possible without the help from many volunteers, donors, community members, and partner organizations. You are part of that journey. Thank you! We’ll celebrate our ten years of community building later this year and you all are invited! Look out for more details in the coming months. We will also highlight some of our stories from our early days in our newsletters and on our Facebook page. You can read the first of those stories here!

Check out more Ten-Year Anniversary stories here.

Do you have any stories or a picture that you’d like to share? Please send us an email and we’d love to talk with you!
