We’re very excited to welcome many new faces to the HIP team this month! Read more about Cameron, Ryan, and Rachel below.

Cameron Baker

Community Engagement & Events Coordinator, AmeriCorps VISTA

Cameron (he/him) is a recent UW graduate from the Food Systems program. Cameron is starting his term with AmeriCorps looking to broaden his horizons while impacting his community in a positive way. Aside from work he is passionate about music with good vibes, horror movies with good scares and tv shows that bring lots of laughter.

Ryan Phi

Summer Activities Coordinator, No Kid Hungry Youth Ambassador

Ryan (he/him) comes from Lynnwood, Washington and is a graduate of Mariner High School. He’s recently returned from Vietnam where he had the opportunity to travel, and volunteer as an English language facilitator in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. He is looking forward to returning to the University of Washington Seattle full time in the fall, with a major in Economics. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, going to concerts, hanging out with friends, or finding the best coffee shops in Seattle.

Rachel Shevrin

Shelter Meal Program Coordinator (temporary)

Rachel (she/her) is from Michigan and moved to Seattle in 2017. Since the start of the COVID pandemic, she has been deeply involved in the food accessibility and social service communities. In her free time, Rachel enjoys making her friends laugh, playing with animals, and being outside.
